Clark Fork wins 49-48 on last shot

Clark Fork scored last to earn a 49-48 North Star League boys basketball victory at Wallace Friday.

The Wampus Cats scored on their final possession and the Miners committed a turnover with theirs.

Clayton Hewitt poured in 26 points and Kyle Ruen added another 16 to lead Clark Fork (3-6, 2-2).

John Keener, Paul Norris and Stefan Norris each scored 11 points to lead Wallace (4-8, 2-4).

Post Falls Christian 50, Kootenai 47: The Eagles controlled the boards to earn the victory at home. David Park and Brack Adkins each pumped in nine points to lead Post Falls Christian (12-6, 6-4). Cody and Tony Kraack combined to score 28 points for the Warriors (1-11, 1-4).

Intermountain League

Bonners Ferry earns win at the line

Bonners Ferry scored 11 points from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to preserve a 52-47 victory at Priest River. Spenser Behrens’ jumper with three minutes left gave the Badgers a three-point lead they padded from the line. Behrens’ nine points were high for Bonners Ferry (5-10, 3-0). Jake Flaherty scored 12 for the Spartans (7-7, 2-2).

Washington boys

Tigercats turn hot

LaCrosse-Washtucna started hot and simmered its way to a 69-42 Whitman County League victory over St. John-Endicott at Washtucna.

The Tigercats (9-3, 5-2) shot 10 for 14 in the first quarter and staked themselves to a 26-6 lead.

Matt Martin scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead LaCrosse-Washtucna.

Brent Leifer scored 15 points to lead the Eagles (10-6, 4-4).

Asotin 57, Rosalia 33: The Panthers coupled 21 steals with 29 Spartans turnovers to score the win at Rosalia. John Ausman was 6 of 8 from the field and led Asotin (12-4, 5-3) with 14 points.

Great Northern League

Hein’s putback lifts Pullman

Ben Hein’s putback with 40 seconds left secured a 51-46 victory for Pullman at Colville. Ashton Gant scored a dozen points and Hein added 11 to lead the Greyhounds (10-3, 5-0). Matt Weatherby was perfect from 3-point range, 4 for 4, and scored 18 points to lead the Indians (3-10, 0-6). … Chewelah 60, Riverside 50: The Cougars (8-5, 3-2) shot 51 percent from the field (21 of 41) at Riverside. A.J. Proszek pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and Michael McCanna scored 21 points. The Rams (8-4, 3-2), who hit 18 of 50 shots from the floor, got 19 points from Buddy Wood. … Medical Lake 59, Deer Park 36: Tanner Tareski scored 25 points, hitting 8 for 8 from the free-throw line in the process, to lead the Cardinals (5-6, 1-3) at Deer Park. Lance Seele had 14 points to lead the Stags (9-3, 2-2).

Northeast A League

Scotties press past Newport

Freeman used a smothering press to score a 69-20 victory at Newport. Malcolm Soelberg was 9 of 21 from the field and scored 22 points to lead the Scotties (11-2, 3-0).

David McFall scored 10 for the Grizzlies (4-10, 0-3).
