The Spokesman-Review

The Coeur d’Alene Symphony will give a family concert on Saturday at 7 p.m. in North Idaho College’s Schuler Auditorium, with free admission available in advance to those 18 and under.

The symphony will perform “Der Freischutz Overture (The Freeshooter)” by child prodigy Carl Von Weber. It will be joined by pianists Jay and Sandy Mauchley from the University of Idaho for “Carnival of the Animals” by another child prodigy, Camille Saint-Saens.

The progressive Irish music ensemble An Dochas and Haran Irish Dancers will close the program.

Free youth tickets must be ordered in advance through TicketsWest outlets (325-SEAT, 800-325-SEAT, www.ticketswest.com) and can be picked up the night of the concert. Student tickets will be $10 at the door.

Other tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors, both in advance through TicketsWest and at the door.
