Plenty to do for Independence Day

Today will be a whiz-bang day throughout the Inland Northwest as residents celebrate the Fourth of July. Here’s a list of area activities:

Fourth of July Neighbor Day

Sponsored by Northwest Ford Dealers with family activities, food, music, arts and crafts and fireworks sponsored by Tomlinson Black. Festival of America (Grand Coulee)

Spokane Indians Baseball

Vs. Eugene Emeralds, with fireworks sponsored by Comcast. Tuesday: 1/2 New Year’s Night; Wednesday: Bingo Night; Thursday: Gus Johnson Ford Antenna Ball Giveaway; July 8: ZOOperstars. 6:30 p.m. Avista Stadium, Havana Street at Broadway Avenue. $5-$8/adults, $4/children, seniors and military, through TicketsWest. 325-SEAT.

Fourth of July Celebration (CdA)

American Heroes Parade along Sherman Avenue begins at 11 a.m.; Coeur d’Alene Police Officer Mike Kralicek is grand marshal. Live entertainment is planned from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. in City Park. At dusk, fireworks show begins over Lake Coeur d’Alene.

Community Fourth of July (Pullman)

30th annual event begins today at 5 p.m. with a barbecue at the park shelter. Pullman Community Band will perform from 5:30-6:15 p.m., folksinger Dan Maher will play from 6:15-7 p.m. and The Kingpins from 7-10 p.m. Fireworks at dusk. Sunnyside Park, Pullman. Free. 334-3565.

Fourth of July Concert
