Two seats on the Central Valley School District Board of Directors are up for election this fall.

Board member Tom Dingus announced this week that he will be seeking a four-year term as director District 2 in the western half of the school district.

Dingus, 41, was appointed in March and is currently serving the remaining term on the five-member board for Craig Holmes.

Holmes resigned in January for personal reasons after nine years on the board.

Incumbent Anne Long said she also will seek re-election for another four years as director District 5, in the Liberty Lake area.

“Four years isn’t enough time, you just feel like you are just getting to know everything,” said Long, currently serving as the board chair. “I enjoy it, and I think we are really making some good progress.”

Candidates have until July 29 to register with the public disclosure commission for the September primary elections.
