These days, she’s just Madonna with children

Madonna isn’t the person she once was – and that’s the way she wants it. These days, the former Material Girl spends more time with her two children, 8-year-old Lourdes (Lola) and 4-year-old Rocco, than she does performing.

Married to film director Guy Ritchie since 2000, she now collects art instead of boyfriends. And she’s traded in her leather and lace undergarments for more demure outfits, such as cashmere cardigans.

A photo spread in the August issue of Vogue magazine shows her feeding chickens on the lawns of her English country estate and playing dress-up with her children in her sitting room.

The 46-year-old singer-actress says she’s different from the sexed-up star featured in 1991’s “Madonna: Truth or Dare.”

“I was a very selfish person,” she says. “You go through periods of your life where the world does revolve around you, but you can’t live your whole life that way.

“On the other hand,” she adds, “I kind of admire my spunk and directness!”

All Farrell’s love and war

Actor Colin Farrell is suing a woman for allegedly trying to profit from a sex tape he says the two recorded with the agreement it would never be made public.

The lawsuit accuses 31-year-old Nicole Narain of working with an Internet pornography business and contacting the news media about the tape, which it says would irreparably harm Farrell’s reputation and career.

Farrell, 29, star of “S.W.A.T” and “Alexander,” has been named one of the sexiest men alive by People magazine. He has a son with model Kim Bordenave.

She’ll get the snitch in time

Rapper Lil’ Kim has filed a $6 million lawsuit against a former recording partner who testified against her at her recent trial on perjury and conspiracy charges.

She was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for lying to a federal grand jury about her involvement in a 2001 gun battle outside a Manhattan radio station.

Her suit accuses James “Lil’ Cease” Lloyd of preparing to release an unauthorized DVD, “The Chronicles of Junior M.A.F.I.A. Part II: Reloaded.” Lil’ Kim says she left Junior M.A.F.I.A., which included Lloyd, in 2001.

Um, about that bottle …

Christina Aguilera has been wearing a cast and sling since accidentally cutting her arm two weeks ago.

The 24-year-old singer sliced two tendons when she picked up a piece of glass from a vase her dog knocked over and broke in her Los Angeles-area house.

Aguilera, whose hits include “What a Girl Wants” and “Genie in a Bottle,” became engaged to music executive Jordan Bratman in February.

Hey, William Hung looks great in Skechers

“American Idol” winner Carrie Underwood is following in the footsteps of Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears by agreeing to an endorsement deal with Skechers, a California sneaker maker.

Luke Sharpe of Sharpe Dry Goods, which sells Skechers, said Underwood will attract young shoppers.

“They all want to be like Carrie,” he said. “They just can’t sing.”
