Missionary speaking at Victory Life Ministries

Rosilind “Roz” Hackett, a native of Bramalee and a missionary to Croatia, will be the guest speaker Sunday at 11 a.m. Victory Life Ministries, 723 N. 11th St., Coeur d’Alene. A reception will begin at 10 a.m.; for information, call 664-2941.

Hackett is a graduate of Christ For the Nations Institute and has served as a music minister in Spokane and Bowman, N.D. She is currently a missionary under the auspices of Spirit Life Ministry International and is serving in Zagreb, Croatia.

Hackett makes her home in Sandpoint when she is not serving in the field.

The Power Team, a group of strong world-class athletes, will be providing free demonstrations of power, inspiration, motivation, speed and strength Wednesday through Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene First Assembly of God Church, 2200 N. Seventh St. The group is made up of men, many weighing more than 300 pounds, that include several world record holders, professional wrestlers and former NFL players. Team members encourage others to be their best and to live a life of excellence by providing exhibitions of endurance and strength, which include snapping baseball bats, blowing up hot-water bottles, ripping phone books and license plates and lifting utility poles overhead.
