Sun stay perfect on home court

Nykesha Sales scored 19 points and Margo Dydek finished with 12 defensive rebounds and five blocked shots to lead the Connecticut Sun to a 68-55 win over the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night in Uncasville, Conn.

The Eastern Conference-leading Sun remain the only team in the WNBA this season with a perfect home record (9-0). The Sun have won 14 straight at Mohegan Sun arena, dating back to last season.

Tully Bevilaqua had a career-high 19 points for Indiana. Tamika Catchings, limited to just five points in the first half, finished with 13.

Lindsay Whalen shot a career-best 4 for 4 from beyond the arc and scored 13 points for the Sun.

Comets 83, Mystics 65: At Washington, Janeth Arcain scored 23 points, Sheryl Swoopes added 17 and Houston ended a two-game losing streak with a win over Washington.

Arcain hit 11 of 15 shots from the field to help Houston rally from an early seven-point deficit. Alana Beard had 16 points and DeLisha Milton-Jones added 15 for the Mystics.

Silver Stars 78, Lynx 71: At San Antonio, Marie Ferdinand scored 14 points in the second half and San Antonio snapped a five-game losing streak with a win over Minnesota.

Katie Feenstra added 16 points, Wendy Palmer-Daniel and Shyra Ely both scored 11, and Shannon Johnson added 10 for the Silver Stars.

Monarchs 64, Sting 54: At Sacramento, Calif., Yolanda Griffith scored 20 points and had 11 rebounds, leading Sacramento to the win and extending Charlotte’s losing streak to seven.

Nicole Powell had 15 points for the Monarchs, while Tangela Smith had 19 points, 10 rebounds and six steals in her first visit back to Arco Arena.

Mercury 77, Sparks 60: At Phoenix, Kamila Vodichkova scored a career-high 24 points on 10-of-11 shooting to lead Phoenix to its sixth win in the last seven games by defeating Los Angeles.
