Arts and crafts, live music, food and a car show are the highlights of an annual fund-raising event in Edgecliff Park on Aug. 6.

It’s the third annual Fun in the Sun Arts and Crafts Fair, hosted by the Edgecliff Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Effort.

The socializing with neighbors is the real treat, organizers said.

Music will be played throughout the day by The Parchmen, a Delta blues band, Waukon, which plays classic rock and blues music, and Ken Paige, who performs easy listening tunes.

Some of the featured arts and crafts include unique lamps, beeswax candles, crafts made out of horseshoes, silk floral arrangements, lotions, a variety of jewelry and toys for kids. Spokane County Undersheriff Dave Wiyrick will also be there with his stone face planters and walking sticks.

The Bread Barn will offer its special chicken with a variety of side dishes, and Frank’s Franks also will be at the park.

The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 6 at the park, Park Road and Eighth Avenue.

SCOPE organizers still have room for vendors. For information, call 477-6345.
