Country Homes Christian to host community blood drive

Country Homes Christian Church, 8415 N. Wall St., is hosting a North Side community blood drive Aug. 5 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Anyone wishing to make a donation should drink plenty of liquids that day and eat a nutritious meal two to four hours before donating blood.

Eligible donors will receive an Inland Northwest Blood Center T-shirt.

Reiki healing class

Ancient Traditions Community Church, 1928 E. Rich Ave., is presenting a Reiki healing class Aug. 5-7 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Taylore Vance of Cosmic Energetic Healing will conduct classes that teach this healing technique, which was developed in 1850.

Anyone wishing to attend just the first class can attend for free. The second class by itself is $125. The third class by itself is $150. To attend all three classes, the cost is $200.
