Woman dies on wedding day

Aurora, Colo. A 25-year-old woman died in a two-car crash only hours before she was to be married.

Police said they found Arlene Gavrilis’ wedding dress in her Volkswagen Beetle after the collision early Saturday. She was to have married Adam Hawkes that day.

Police said both drivers may have consumed alcohol.

Two suspects charged In missing-teen case

Oranjestad, Aruba Two men were charged Sunday in the disappearance last week of an Alabama teen visiting this island with classmates to celebrate high school graduation, police said.

The arrests came nearly a week after Natalee Holloway, 18, disappeared on a trip here with classmates from Mountain Brook High near Birmingham.

Police say they don’t know if she is alive.

Hezbollah claims victory in election

Bint Jbeil, Lebanon Hezbollah and its Shiite allies claimed victory in southern Lebanon in Sunday’s second stage of national elections, a vote the militant group hopes will prove its strength and send a message of defiance to the United States.

The voting follows the killing of an anti-Syrian journalist and calls by the opposition for the president to resign.
