The Spokesman-Review

Three new members have been appointed to Washington State Boundary Review Board for Spokane County.

The men will serve four-year terms on the five-member board, which decides growth issues for cities, including annexation, incorporation and disincorporation.

James Peck, a retired Army master sergeant who lives in Liberty Lake, was appointed by the governor. Peck ran against incumbent state Rep. Larry Crouse last November but was defeated.

The mayors of cities and towns within Spokane County appointed David Troyke, a Spokane resident and Spokane Valley financial professional.

William Ponder, a Cheney resident and vice president of student services at Eastern Washington University, was appointed by the special-purpose districts.
