Easter Baskets for Idaho Troops The Athol American Legion Post 149 on Highway 54 plans to send care packages to Idaho troops. Items needed include small personal toiletries, batteries, cards, hard candy, international phone cards, panty liners (for helmets), full-length nylon hose (not panty hose) to keep sand out of rifles, combs, gum and neck coolers. Planning Meals and Strategy Shopping The University of Idaho Extension Nutrition Program is offering free weekly classes to recipients of food stamps or other Health and Welfare programs. North Idaho College 35th annual Popcorn Forum Series – begins Monday with Congressman Butch Otter and U.S. Attorney for the State of Idaho, Thomas E. Moss, speaking at 10 a.m. on “The Patriot Act: National Security vs. Civil Liberties,” in Boswell Hall’s Schuler Auditorium. There will be a response panel in the Edminster Student Union Building from 1-2:30 p.m., then the Human Rights Banquet is a 6 p.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Inn.
