Rosters announced for Idaho High School All-Star basketball games at North Idaho College in April

The rosters for the North and South teams in the second annual Idaho High School All-Star basketball games were announced Wednesday.

The 2005 boys and girls games will be played April 9 at North Idaho College’s Christianson Gym.

Ten of the 12 players named to the North boys team are from the Inland Empire League. They are: Jake and Joe Wolfe of Coeur d’Alene, Ben Widmyer of Lake City, IEL player of the year Scott Stockwell and K.C. Billetz of Post Falls, Kam Kiefer of Lakeland, Ben Mitchell and Chris Hepperly of Sandpoint, Jeff Decker of Lewiston and Jake LeFors of Moscow. Rounding out the team are 6-foot-7 Aaron Smith of Troy, who has signed with the University of Idaho and led his team to the State 1A title, and Tim Wolfe of Lakeside. Post Falls’ Dave Stockwell will coach the team.

Seven of the 12 players named to the North girls team are from the IEL. They are: Jenna Griffitts of Coeur d’Alene, the IEL player of the year, Beanna Sande of Lake City, Jessie Bartlett and Mindy Meyer of Lakeland, Jacki Calhoun of Moscow, and Elle Carne and Kelsey James of Sandpoint. Joining them on the team are Cami Wendt of Kellogg, Debbie Pederson and Christon VanderEsch of Grangeville, Nichole Scott of Kendrick and Althea Walker of Lapwai. Dale Poffenroth of Coeur d’Alene will coach the team.

The rosters are subject to change, officials said.

Here is the South boys roster: Steve Tracy of Bishop Kelly, Jordan Keck of Bonneville, Jesse Childs and Bryan Champ of State 5A champion Borah, Jacques Wilson of Century, Jeff Ranstrom of Eagle, Tyler McKee of Highland, D.J. Collette of Idaho Falls, Wrangler Williams of Mackay, Ben Welk of State 4A champ Skyview and Mike and Mitch Smith of Twin Falls. Dan McGee of Skyview will coach the team.

Here is the South girls roster: Anna Schumacher of Bishop Kelly, Lexie Tucker of Blackfoot, Mary Findlay of State 5A champion Boise, Amy Passey of State 4A champion Bonneville, Beanne Law of Borah, Jennifer Williams of Centennial, Whitney Woodland of Hillcrest, Ashley Thompson and Cora Chandler of State 3A champ Marsh Valley, Beanna Olson of Mountain View and Amy Bratvold and Hannah Heidenreich of Twin Falls. Harry Angelos of Boise will coach the team.
