Looking back Chewelah, Wash., flood in 1956
Fishing in front of City Hall
Residents of Chewelah, Wash., took to the street in front of the old City Hall on Highway 395 in an effort to catch fish after the street was flooded in April 1956. The adults fishing were Ole Alm, Ben Spray and Bernie Ganoung. Young Eric Alm and a few buddies witnessed it all.
