Donate your hair for cancer patients

Need a change for spring? Have a few inches of hair to spare?

If you have 10 to 12 inches of hair you are able to cut, support the Gonzaga University Chapter of the American Cancer Society’s Colleges Against Cancer on Wednesday.

Two area salons will be taking hair donations at the Crosby Student Center on the Gonzaga University campus. Stylists will cut and style hair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Donated hair will be used to create wigs for children who are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation or suffer from alopecia or burns.

For more information, contact Sarah Leach at 324-5069 or Debi Gallagher at 455-3440.

Memorial benefit

A benefit for Ron Threlfall, award-winning dancer and instructor who died March 17, will be at the Slab Inn Country Jamboree, Post Falls.

Proceeds from next Sunday’s event will be given to his wife, dance partner and fellow instructor, Sally Threlfall.

The benefit will begin at 3 p.m. and includes a potluck dinner, silent auction and live music performed by the Kelly Hughes Band, ThunderRoad, Crossfire and Die Hard.

For more information, call (208) 773-5440.
