Weirdos who don’t love enough, on the next Oprah
Lisa Marie Presley opened up about former husband Michael Jackson this week on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Presley said that her marriage to the pop star and accused child molester, which lasted from 1994 to 1996, was real.
“Do you think that he loved you as much as he could?” Winfrey asked.
“Yes, as much as he was capable of loving somebody,” Presley replied.
When Winfrey asked if she felt that Jackson had used her, Presley replied: “All signs point to ‘yes’ on that. I can’t answer for him.”
Jackson is on trial for allegedly molesting a now-15-year-old boy who spent time at his Neverland ranch and appeared with him in the 2003 British documentary “Living With Michael Jackson.”
Presley, the 37-year-old daughter of Elvis, claimed she was uncomfortable talking about Jackson.
At one point she exclaimed: “This seat is hot!”
Adding to their net earnings
Teen tennis goddesses Serena and Venus Williams are scheduled to go on “Oprah” today to promote their new advice book for teen and preteen girls, “Venus and Serena: Serving From the Hip: 10 Rules for Living, Loving, and Winning.”
And get used to seeing more of them on the tube: The sisters have signed a deal with the ABC Family network for a six-episode reality show, set to debut in July.
“The series will provide our fans with an up-close, inside look at our lives away from the tennis courts,” Venus said.
Are showers on the way?
Rumors are swirling that the increasingly voluptuous-looking pop princess Britney Spears is pregnant, though her publicist denies it.
Life & Style magazine attributes her “bump” to mom’s home cooking, while People reports she’s been sampling the chili and smoothies at her dad’s joint, JJ Chill in Venice, Calif..
Still, Spears, who has made no secret about wanting a baby with husband Kevin Federline, posted a cryptic message on her Web site this month: “I feel as though I have been very quiet and still lately. ‘The calm before the storm’ – I can really relate to that statement.”
Remember the ‘Son,’ Shyne?
Jailed rapper Shyne, who signed a $3 million record deal while behind bars, won’t see any money until a lawsuit against him is resolved.
Citing New York’s “Son of Sam” law that bars convicts from profiting from their crimes, a judge has frozen the funds pending the outcome of a civil suit brought by two bystanders wounded in a 1999 shooting at a Manhattan nightclub.
Shyne (aka Jamal Barrow) has been behind bars since 2001 for the shooting that involved former mentor Sean P. “Diddy” Combs and Combs’ then-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez.
Hey, Katrina – you’re unattired!
During the Miami runway show for Tommy Hilfiger‘s Resort line, “Apprentice” alum Katrina Campins walked the entire length of the runway not realizing that both breasts had popped out of her button-down shirt.
As the audience gasped, one wag was overheard saying Janet Jackson will be first in line to buy the outfit.
