You never know who’s gonna call

In writing my column for Friday’s edition of 7 , the tabloid entertainment section that took the place of Weekend – or, as many people still call it, The Weekender – I added a note at the bottom. It refers to the live edition of “Movies 101” that I, Bob Glatzer and Mary Pat Treuthart will do between 6:30-7 Friday on KPBX FM 91.1. “Movies 101,” of course, is the Spokane Public Radio show that Glatzer and I have done weekly since 1999.

The last time we did the show live, several months ago, a joker named “Chucky” called up with some nonsensical comment. Turns out that “Chucky” was none other than Charlie Schlesinger – or, to KPBX regular listeners, the character behind “Jazz with Chas.”

Since Friday is April Fool’s Day , there’s no telling what might happen or who might call. In any event, take note: The number is (509) 328-5729 or (800) 328-5729. Ask a question or make a comment.

Just don’t identify yourself as “Chucky.” Please.
