Northwest area residents can pick up free dump passes

The Northwest Neighborhood Association will issue a limited number of free dump passes, valued at $25, good for May 22 through June 5.

Half the passes will be distributed at 10 a.m. Saturday at COPS Northwest, 2215 W. Wellesley Ave., Suite D, next to the laundry at Shadle Center.

The remainder will be issued at COPS Northwest at 10 a.m. Monday.

Passes will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. A driver’s license or utility bill is required to verify association area residence.

The Northwest Neighborhood Association covers the area west of Ash to the Spokane River and bound by Francis on the north to Fairview, Belt and Indiana on the south, including Westgate and Northwest Terrace.

“The Bemiss Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 tonight at Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St.

“The North Hill Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 tonight at Willard Elementary School, 500 W. Longfellow Avenue.

“The Peaceful Valley Neighborhood Council will meet at 10 a.m., Saturday at the Peaceful Valley Community Center, 214 N. Cedar.

SCOPE North will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at 9435 N. Newport Highway.

“The Minnehaha Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St.

“The Logan Neighborhood Council will meet at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday at Fourth Memorial Church, 2000 N. Standard St. Use front parking lot entrance.

“The Hillyard Neighborhood Council will meet at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday at Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook.

“The Chief Garry Park Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. next Thursday at Stevens School, 1717 E. Sinto Ave.

“The Northwest Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 p.m. next Thursday at Audubon Park United Methodist Church, 3908 N. Driscoll Blvd.
