Yard sale to aid Medical Lake High scholars

The Medical Lake Dollars for Scholars Foundation’s annual yard sale is scheduled for Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

It will be held at the Monarch ministorage parking lot, State Route 902, across from the Conoco gasoline station in Medical Lake. Furniture, clothing, home and yard items as well as miscellaneous goods will be for sale.

Started in 2001, the foundation has grown every year.

In 2004 it awarded 49 scholarships totaling more than $27,000 to graduating seniors. The yard sale generated $3,000 last year and provided eight extra scholarships.

The first year, the foundation awarded $10,600 to 27 seniors.
