Prepared Childbirth Today from 7-9 p.m. at Deaconess Medical Center, 800 W. Fifth Ave. Designed for expectant parents in the last three months of pregnancy, this five-week course covers the stages and management of labor, breathing techniques, muscle toning and relaxation. It also includes the role of the partner/support person and care of mother and baby after birth. Cost is $80. Grief Workshop East Central Seniors Program is hosting “Honoring Legacies” Thursday at 11 a.m. at East Central Community Center, 500 S. Look Good… Feel Better – A program offered by the American Cancer Society to help women diagnosed with cancer learn how to apply cosmetics and choose wigs and other head wear. The group meets monthly. For locations, time and more information, call Abby Wadlow at 455-3440, option 3.

Cancer Fitness Recovery Program – The Medically Directed Wellness Center at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute is looking for four underinsured or uninsured women to participate in its Cancer Fitness Recovery Program. The program helps cancer survivors deal with the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has set aside money for women who cannot afford to join.
