In an all-LC girls final, Gullickson held off Elise Otto 6-2, 6-7 (10-8), 7-4.

The other GSL state qualifiers were Mt. Spokane’s Edwin Miller and Andrew Vanderpool, who placed fourth in boys doubles.

Rooney was the only GSL athlete to qualify for the state tournament, Friday and Saturday at the University of Washington. Muszynski lost to Hanford’s Oliver Lei 6-3, 6-0 for the second and final state spot. Clarkston scored 22 points to win the team title by six points over Sunnyside.
