Connecticut 47, Army 13: At West Point, N.Y., Darius Butler had three interceptions, returning one for a score, and Matt Bonislawski threw two TD passes to lead the Huskies (3-1) past the Black Knights (0-4).

South

Navy 28, Duke 21: At Durham, N.C., Lamar Owens ran for 106 yards and scored the go-ahead TD with 1:18 to play to lift the Midshipmen (1-2) over the Blue Devils (1-4).

Wake Forest 31, Clemson 27: At Winston-Salem, N.C., Cory Randolph threw a 6-yard TD pass to Kevin Marion with 33 seconds left and the Demon Deacons (2-3, 1-1 ACC) rallied past the Tigers (2-3, 1-3).

North Carolina 31, Utah 17: At Chapel Hill, N.C., Matt Baker threw two TD passes and Tommy Richardson made two key fumble recoveries in the fourth quarter to lead the Tar Heels (2-2) over the Utes (3-2).

UAB 45, Rice 26: At Birmingham, Ala., Darrell Hackney threw two touchdown passes and Dan Burks ran for two scores to lead the Blazers (3-1, 1-0 C-USA) to a victory over the Owls (0-3, 0-1).

Middle Tennessee 17, Vanderbilt 15: At Nashville, Tenn., Jeremiah Weaver blocked a last-second field-goal attempt by Bryant Hahnfelt and the Blue Raiders (1-3) held on for a win over the Commodores (4-1).

Tulane 28, Southeastern Louisiana 21: At Baton Rouge, La., Lester Ricard threw for 324 yards and two TDs as the Green Wave (2-1), displaced by Hurricane Katrina and playing in LSU’s Tiger Stadium, defeated the Division I-AA Lions (1-2).

Louisiana-Monroe 31, Arkansas State 27: At Monroe, La., quarterback Steven Jyles ran it in from 2 yards out with 36 seconds remaining to give the Louisiana-Monroe Indians (2-3, 2-0 Sun Belt) a victory over the Arkansas State Indians (2-3, 1-1).

Central Florida 24, Louisiana-Lafayette 21: At Lafayette, La., Matt Prater hit a 28-yard field goal with 2.3 seconds remaining to give the Golden Knights (2-2) a victory over the Ragin’ Cajuns (1-3).

Memphis 27, UTEP 20: At Memphis, Tenn., DeAngelo Williams rushed for 236 yards and two TDs to lead the Tigers (2-2, 1-1 C-USA) over the Miners (3-1, 1-1).

Iowa 35, Illinois 7: At Iowa City, Iowa, Ed Hinkel scored with an acrobatic move at the end of a reverse and caught one of Drew Tate’s two touchdown passes, leading the Hawkeyes (3-2, 1-1 Big Ten) to a win over the Fighting Illini (2-3, 0-2).

Eastern Michigan 27, Kent State 20: At Ypsilanti, Mich., Darran Matthews’ interception with a little more than a minute to play helped the Eagles (3-2, 2-0 MAC) hold off the Golden Flashes (1-4, 0-3).

Bowling Green 70, Temple 7: At Bowling Green, Ohio, Omar Jacobs threw for 326 yards and four TDs and Corey Partridge returned a punt 79 yards for a score as the Falcons (2-2) routed the Owls (0-5).

Western Michigan 31, Buffalo 21: The Broncos (3-2, 1-1 MAC) got TD passes from three different players en route to a win over the Bulls (0-4, 0-1).

Central Michigan 31, Akron 17: At Akron, Ohio, Ontario Sneed rushed for 183 yards and scored three touchdowns, one from 50 yards out, to lead the Chippewas (2-3, 2-1 MAC) over the Zips (2-2, 1-1).

Oklahoma 43, Kansas State 21: At Norman, Okla., Adrian Peterson rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown before leaving with an injury in the second quarter and the Sooners (2-2, 1-0 Big 12) cruised past the Wildcats (3-1, 0-1).

Colorado 34, Oklahoma State 0: At Stillwater, Okla., Hugh Charles rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns and the Buffaloes (3-1, 1-0 Big 12) shut out the Cowboys (3-1, 0-1).

Texas A&M 16, Baylor 13 (OT): At College Station, Texas, Courtney Lewis scored on a 13-yard run in overtime to lift the Aggies (3-1, 1-0 Big 12) to a win over the Bears (3-1, 0-1).

Texas Christian 49, New Mexico 28: At Fort Worth, Texas, quarterback Jeff Ballard ran for four touchdowns and threw for two more in his first career start as the Horned Frogs (4-1, 3-0 Mountain West) held off the Lobos (3-2, 1-1).

Houston 30, Tulsa 23: At Tulsa, Okla., Houston safety Joseph Gonzalez stripped the ball from Tulsa tight end Garrett Mills and teammate Kenneth Fontenette recovered the fumble at the 4-yard line with 42 seconds left as the Cougars (2-2, 1-1) held on for a victory over the Golden Hurricane (2-3, 1-1).

Wyoming 42, UNLV 17: At Laramie, Wyo., Jovon Bouknight had seven catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Cowboys (4-1, 2-0 MWC) over the Rebels (1-4, 0-2).

San Diego State 31, BYU 10: At San Diego, Lynell Hamilton rushed for 161 yards and two TDs to lead the Aztecs (2-3, 1-1 MWC) past the Cougars (1-3, 0-2).
