Bra fitting to benefit cancer foundation

Local women are encouraged to participate in the annual “Fit for the Cure” event, sponsored by Wacoal America Inc.

Eight out 10 women currently wear the wrong bra size. To encourage proper fitting, and to provide breast cancer and early detection awareness, Wacoal specialists will provide free bra fittings at Macy’s Northwest stores this week.

The event includes proper fittings in bras from Wacoal, Donna Karan Intimates and DKNY Underwear. In addition, participants will receive a complimentary embroidered lingerie travel bag.

For every woman who takes part in the free fitting, Wacoal will donate $2 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Furthermore, Wacoal will donate $2 for every bra purchased at the event, and $2 more for every pink bra and Awareness bra purchased through the month of October.

To partake in the “Fit for the Cure” event, visit Macy’s at the Valley Mall on Thursday, or Macy’s at the NorthTown Mall on Friday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For every test drive of any 2006 model Volvo through next Sunday, Volvo Spokane will make a donation of $20 on behalf of the driver to charity.
