Braves race past Posse at home
Spokane got goals form six different players en route to a 6-4 win over the Princeton Posse in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League action Saturday at Planet Ice.
Andrew Christ, Leif Sherman, Ryno Linder, Evan Witt, Josh Pickens and Damon Hollandsworth all scored, and Ryan Skier finished with 30 saves for Spokane.
Witt was named the game’s first star as the Braves improved to 2-5-3-1, good for eight points and fourth place in the Neil Murdoch division.
Flyers fall to Bozeman
Jimmy Becker scored a pair of goals as the Bozeman Blackhawks shut out the Spokane Flyers 5-0 in Northern Pacific Hockey League action at Eagles Ice-A-Rena.
Devin Hartigan made 28 saves for Bozeman (7-2, 14 points).
Zach Lewicka made 33 saves for Spokane (5-5, 10 points), which sits tied for second in the East Division.
