Planned Parenthood seminar scheduled

“Tea & Puberty” is the eye-catching title of a free Planned Parenthood workshop scheduled for later this month. The three-hour program is designed to help young people, ages 9 to 12, better understand what happens to their bodies during puberty. It will also help their parents learn how to better talk with their kids about sex.

“This will be a fun and interactive opportunity for youth to ask questions about their changing bodies and for parents to feel more at ease in answering their children’s questions,” said Margaret Mount, education director of Planned Parenthood of the Inland Northwest, in a press release.

“Tea & Puberty” takes place from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 22 at Centernary Methodist Church, 1012 S. Freya St. The registration deadline is Oct. 20. Refreshments will be provided.

Call (509) 241-4203 for registration information.
