Colville’s football team could take another step toward a second straight state tournament appearance with a win Friday at Chewelah (4-3, 2-2 GNL). With the win, Colville (4-2, 3-0) would just need to beat Riverside the following week. If Chewelah wins, things get interesting. Three teams (Chewelah, Lakeside and Riverside) have two losses, and Colville would be in danger of dropping back to the pack, as they still have to play at second-ranked Pullman.
