Allen scores 20 points; Sonics beat Golden State

Ray Allen scored 20 points and Rashard Lewis added 18 to help the Seattle SuperSonics beat the Golden State Warriors 108-95 in a preseason game Saturday at Oakland, Calif.

Nick Collison had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Sonics, who won for the second time in six games.

Derek Fisher, who suffered a dislocated finger on his right hand on Wednesday, scored 19 points to lead the Warriors, who have lost two of their last three.

Magic 105, Hawks 100: At Orlando, Fla., Dwight Howard scored 20 points and Orlando the Hawks. Steve Francis added 16 points and eight assists for the Magic, who played without Grant Hill. The All-Star forward has a lower abdominal strain and is expected to miss another week.

Celtics 90, Nets 69: At Uncasville, Conn., Rookie Ryan Gomes scored 15 points as Boston beat New Jersey at Mohegan Sun Arena. Gomes, a Waterbury, Conn. native and former Providence star, was making his first visit to his home state as a professional. Paul Pierce added 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Mark Blount had 14 points for the Celtics.

Pistons 87, Heat 66: At Auburn Hills, Mich., Tayshaun Prince scored 16 points and Richard Hamilton added 15 as Detroit routed Miami. Shaquille O’Neal led the Heat with 28 points and 12 rebounds in 28 minutes. He made 12 of 18 from the field, but was just 4-of-11 from the free-throw line.

Grizzlies 82, Rockets 78: At Memphis, Tenn., Damon Stoudamire scored 16 points to lead Memphis over Houston. The Rockets trailed 80-78 with six seconds to play when Derek Anderson threw the ball out of bounds on bad pass. Stoudamire drew a foul on the next play and made two free throws.

Timberwolves 89, Bucks 85: At Milwaukee, Kevin Garnett had 25 points and 15 rebounds as Minnesota beat the Bucks. He had 11 points and nine rebounds in the decisive third period, when Minnesota (2-4) used a 14-2 run to take the lead for good.

Knicks 96, Spurs 90: At San Antonio, rookie Channing Frye scored 19 points to lead New York to a comeback win over the Spurs. Jamal Crawford added 13 points, six of them in the final 1:33. Jackie Butler scored 12 and Stephon Marbury 11.

Kings 100, Blazers 80: At Portland, Corliss Williamson had 13 of his 18 points in the first quarter to lead Sacramento over Portland. Darius Miles had 14 points and Ruben Patterson added 13 for the Blazers, who have lost four straight by 14 points or more.

Around the league

Washington Wizards forward Antawn Jamison and guard Gilbert Arenas were both nursing injuries after early exits from Friday night’s game against Denver. Jamison bruised his right shoulder, while Arenas was poked in the eye. … The Toronto Raptors released guards Robert Pack, Tierre Brown and forward Bryant Matthews. Pack, a 15-year journeyman, totaled four points and four assists in four games.
