Living’s easy … with a few good tips

JoAnn Derson King Features Syndicate

• “I have a cheap solution for a kitchen scrubbie. I just ball up the bag that onions come in. It works for me!” — C.A. in Illinois

• “If your hands are greasy, wash them with dish soap instead of hand soap.” — B.M. in Florida

• If you need juice from a lemon, lime or orange for a recipe, roll one that is at room-temperature around under your palm on the counter before you cut it open. It breaks up the insides, and you’ll get a lot more juice out of each piece.

• For easy-cleanup pancakes, use a turkey baster to “squirt” the batter into the frying pan. No drips, and it usually results in a pretty good circle, too!
