Spear put the Saxons (5-0 GSL) ahead 2-0 in the third minute off an assist from Alyssa Demory, then reeled off goals in the 29th, 33rd and 36th minutes to give the Saxons a 5-1 halftime lead. Lindsay Hood scored all three goals for WV (1-4).
University improved to 5-0 in the GSL with a 6-0 home win over Clarkston. Mt. Spokane jumped to an 8-2 lead and took game 5 15-10 to earn a win at Gonzaga Prep (3-3) in GSL play. Erica Ziegler had 38 assists and seven digs for Mt.
