Produce for sale

The University of Idaho’s Soil Stewards Club is selling the vegetables of their labor.

Organic produce grown by the club is now for sale Wednesday afternoons at a farm stand on the lawn east of the UI Agricultural building on campus in Moscow, Idaho.

Right now, the harvest includes sweet carrots, potatoes and squash.

The sale runs from 2:30 to 5 p.m. each Wednesday until mid-October, depending on the harvest and the weather. Cash and checks are accepted.

“We’re excited to share our produce with the community,” said Gordon Toevs, Soil Stewards member and doctoral student in a news release. “Many local volunteers have visited or worked at our organic farm so this is a product of our shared labor. It puts a face on the food we have grown.”
