Board approves deal to sell Lincoln Field

From staff reports

Spokane Public Schools Board of Directors approved a proposed deal Wednesday night to sell a surplus grassy field to Sacred Heart Medical Center for $1 million.

The 50,000-square-foot plot, between Browne and Division streets near Fourth Avenue, could give Sacred Heart an opportunity to design a new “front door,” said an appraiser familiar with the property known as Lincoln Field.

Sacred Heart, which has been acquiring land around the medical center on the South Hill, made the only bid on the property. The money will go into a school district capital projects fund.
