North Central boys sweep Audubon meet

In a race that featured three state-ranked teams, North Central’s boys (7-1) rose to the top by sweeping West Valley (5-4), Lewis and Clark (5-2) and University (2-5) at Audubon Park Wednesday.

LC’s Ryan Zentz won the race with a time of 16 minutes, 1 second.

Elsewhere, Mike Hartanov won in 17:20 to lead Mt. Spokane (7-1) in a sweep of Gonzaga Prep (2-7), Shadle Park (4-4), and Rogers (1-6) at Finch Arboretum. … Mead (8-0) swept the top four spots and recorded wins over Central Valley (5-3) and host Clarkston (0-7). … Robert Cosby won with a time of 15:40 to help host Ferris (7-0) sweep East Valley (2-6) and Cheney (0-8).

Anna Layman pulled away from runner-up Ryan Torpie in leading Central Valley (6-2) to a 27-28 win over Mead (7-1).
