Prugh finishes fifth in Sunriver

The ninth-ranked Washington men’s golf team finished eighth Wednesday at the PING/Golfweek Fall Preview played at the Crosswater Club in Sunriver, Ore.
The Huskies completed the par-72, 7,671-yard track with a team score of 876, 31 strokes behind winner Georgia.
Junior Alex Prugh (Ferris High) and senior James Lepp led the Huskies.
Prugh finished fifth overall at 6-under-par 210 and Lepp tied for ninth at 3-under 213.
Georgia’s Brian Harmon earned medalist honors at 11-under 205.
Women’s golf
Gonzaga (ninth place) and Eastern Washington (tied for 10th) completed play at the Wolf Pack Invitational in Sparks, Nev.
Gonzaga finished play at the par-71, 6,241-yard D’Andrea Golf Club layout with a team score of 986. EWU finished another stroke back. San Jose State took the team title with a 913.
GU’s Mary Kate Morgan finished ninth at 22-over 235. EWU’s Chelsey Lollar finished tied for 21st at 28-over 241. Medalist Katie Street of Boise State shot 10-over 223.
