Chase teen panel deadline near

The deadline to apply for a seat on the Chase Youth Commission Teen Advisory Council is Sept. 8.

The commission hopes to fill 130 positions this year. The group’s first meeting is Sept. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m. at City Hall.

The students on the TAC implement projects for the Chase Youth Commission. This year, it will help create the Chase Youth Awards, the Youth Issues Voice Forum, BOBfest – the Battle of the Bands, and Spokane’s Promise and Communications. There also will be opportunities to compose articles, scripts and media materials.

TAC members will make presentations and meet with elected officials and local agencies.
