Jen Christerson scored 20 points and pulled down 12 rebounds, leading Reardan to a 65-58 win over Chewelah in the championship game of the Reardan Christmas tournament Saturday.
Brook Ferderer added a season-high 20 points for the Indians (8-2), who outscored the Cougars 35-30 in the second half.
Nikki Nelson tallied 20 points to lead Chewelah (8-1).
Also at the tournament, Kelley Van Lith and Nicole Scheurman scored 14 points apiece to lead St. John-Endicott (5-4) to a 70-51 win over Wellpinit in the consolation game. Samantha Flett led Wellpinit (3-6) with 27 points.
Non-league
Nichole Miller scored 14 points and Amanda Grumbach added 13, leading Curlew to a 62-27 victory over host Omak. Kady Kirkendall chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Cougars (8-1), who outscored the Pioneers 34-13 in the second half.
“Alyssa Garro scored 13 points and Anna Albrecht added 13 points and eight rebounds, leading Pullman to a 56-34 win over Cashmere at the SunDome Shootout in Yakima. Freshman Jessica Thomas added 12 points and four steals for the Greyhounds (7-0), who built a 30-14 halftime lead. Brittany Ingham scored 17 points to lead Cashmere. … Also at the tournament, Lauren Mellor scored 13 points and Kylie Shaw added 10 as Colfax beat Nooksack Valley 43-24. Sadie Lazzarini added eight points and six rebounds for the Bulldogs (8-1). … Rosebud Guthrie scored 10 points as Zillah topped Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) 44-40. The Leopards outscored the Eagles 13-9 in the fourth quarter. Aleesha Denney led Lakeside (7-3) with 12 points.
“Alisa Moehrle scored 36 points as Colton (9-1) hammered Soap Lake 81-42 in the championship game of the Davenport tournament. The Wildcats came out firing in the second quarter, outscoring Soap Lake 43-15. Sammie Druffel added 10 points for Colton. … Also at the tournament, Mallory Mielke scored 24 points as Davenport crushed Columbia (Hunters) 51-21 in the consolation game. The Gorillas (5-3) outscored the Lions (2-6) 31-7 in the first half.
“Maddie Brown scored 17 points and Kyle Miller chipped in 13 as Cheney topped Lake Roosevelt 69-44 in the championship game of the Lake Roosevelt tournament at Coulee Dam. The Blackhawks (4-3) outscored the Raiders 46-20 in the first half. Rowena St. Pierre scored 15 points to lead Lake Roosevelt. … Also at the tournament, Kaprina Goodwin scored a season-high 41 points, but it wasn’t enough as North Mason beat Northport (2-6) 59-54 in the consolation game. Stephanie Hicks scored 34 points to lead North Mason.
“Genessee beat Rosalia 40-25 at the Rosalia tournament. Genessee outscored the Spartans 11-4 in the fourth quarter to put the game away. Katelyn Maley scored a team-high six points for Rosalia (4-4)
“Jenna DeLong scored 14 points as Coeur d’Alene beat Princeton (Texas) 38-31 at the Gillette Energy Classic in Gillette, Wyo. Dayna Drager added seven points for the Vikings (12-1), who finished fourth at the tournament.
