District 8 4A: Sam Skillingstad threw her third perfect game of the season, striking out 18, as Shadle Park defeated Mt. Spokane 4-0 in a semifinal game at Whitworth’s Marks Field. China Frost and Robin Conrad had the only hits for the Highlanders (21-0), who will face University in Tuesday’s championship game. … Theresa Tveit hit a pair of doubles with an RBI to lead University (18-3) to a 3-2 victory over Central Valley. CV (15-6) will face Mt. Spokane (15-6) in Tuesday’s third-place game.

Great Northern League: Sabrina McCollough hit an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning to give Deer Park a 4-3 win over host Lakeside to open a doubleheader in Nine Mile Falls. In the nightcap, Lacey Jordan and Danielle Zidack combined on a no-hitter as Lakeside (7-11, 5-7) routed Deer Park (4-13, 2-10) 13-0 in five innings. … Caitlin Smith had six RBIs and struck out eight batters as Medical Lake routed visiting Riverside (4-14, 1-11) 24-1 in five innings to open a doubleheader. In the nightcap, Chelsea Hardenbrook hit an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth as the Cardinals (15-5, 8-4) completed the sweep with an 8-7 win.

Idaho 3A District I: Kellogg routed Bonners Ferry (0-11) 21-4 in a loser-out game in Spirit Lake. No details were reported. … Rayna Eisses was 4 for 4 with three RBIs and three runs scored as St. Maries (10-10) defeated Priest River (9-9) 10-1 for a district title berth. … Kala Allred threw a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and hit 2 for 2 with four RBIs to lead host Timberlake past Kellogg (4-10) 11-1 in five innings. Brittany Amende scored four times for the Tigers (19-4), who will face the Lumberjacks in today’s championship game.

Baseball

District 8 4A: University took advantage of five Mead errors to score 11 runs en route to a 13-2 rout in five innings at Avista Stadium. Ken VanSickle went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Titans (17-4), who advance to today’s championship game against Ferris. … Kyle Krustangel hit a pair of doubles to lead Ferris (18-2) to an 8-4 victory over Gonzaga Prep. The Bullpups (11-12) will face Mead (13-8) in a loser-out game today.

District 7 1A: Nathan Johnson singled to score Kyle Hill in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Colfax (8-7) a 6-5 victory over Kettle Falls (7-12) in a first-round game at Newport. Hill hit a game-tying, two-run double to get on base. … Chance Hargrove had a pair of hits to lead host Newport to a 7-1 victory over Freeman (5-13). Nick Collison improved to 7-0 on the season for the Grizzlies (20-0), who will face Colfax in today’s championship game. Freeman and Kettle Falls will play a loser-out game, and the winner will face the Newport/Colfax loser for the district’s second seed to state.

District 7 B: Zach Gianukakis threw a one-hitter with seven strikeouts as Republic defeated Reardan 11-1 in a loser-out game at Hartline. … Derek Gianukakis then threw a four-hitter, and Zach added two hits, to lead Republic past host Almira/Coulee-Hartline 8-2 and give the Tigers a state berth. Republic will face St. George’s Monday at Avista Stadium in a seeding game. … Andy Huber was 3 for 3 and scored the winning run on a single by Trevor Anderson to give Liberty a 3-2 win over St. Michael’s in a loser-out game at Northport. … Sam Burke threw a two-hitter with 16 strikeouts as host Northport earned a state berth with a 2-0 win over Liberty. Steven Pinc added a solo homer for the Mustangs, who will face Lind-Ritzville at Avista Stadium in a seeding game Monday.

Idaho 3A District I: Jeremiah Bodecker had two RBIs and two runs scored to lead Priest River to a 4-3 victory over Bonners Ferry (12-6) in a semifinal game in Spirit Lake. Freshman Brian Nelson struck out eight in three innings to get the save for the Spartans (8-9). … In the other semifinal at Timberlake High, St. Maries routed Kellogg (1-16) 21-4 to set up today’s district championship matchup with PR. Tucker Baker had a pair of three-run doubles for the Lumberjacks (13-4).

Tennis

District 8 4A: Lewis and Clark won the boys singles and doubles championships en route to the team title. Ben Gullickson defeated Ferris’ Whitman Hough in four sets to lead the Tigers, who scored 68 points to beat Ferris by nine. … Ferris (71 points) edged LC (64) for the girls team title despite not having a winner. LC’s Elise Otto defeated Ferris’ Katie Griffith 6-3, 6-1 to win the singles title.

District 8 3A: Clarkston advanced three singles players, including champion Richard Myszynski III, and two doubles teams to next weekend’s Eastern Regional. … East Valley’s girls will send the top two girls singles players after Miranda Brother defeated Jessica Casebier 6-2, 6-3 in the championship match.

District 7 2A: Tony Yin of Pullman upset fourth-seeded Ben Graisy of Deer Park in three sets to advance to today’s semifinal action at Washington State University. … Colville’s Abby Lentz pulled an upset, beating third-seeded Raquel Marcelo of Pullman 7-6 (4), 6-3.

Track and field

Whitman County League: Led by Jared Mills’ hurdle double a relay sweep, Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia edged Asotin to win the boys meet in Colfax. Mills won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.2 seconds and 300 in 42.3 for TOR, which scored 116 points to beat the Panthers by four. … Rachel Gundy took all three distance events to lead Asotin to a win in the girls meet. Gundy won the 800 (2:35.4), 1,600 (6:21.9) and 3,200 (13:09.5) to lead the Panthers, who scored 148 points to beat TOR by 38.

Idaho 5A Region I: Allie Downey’s victories in the long jump (15 feet, 3 inches) and triple jump (33-3/4) boosted Lake City to victory in the girls meet in Lewiston. The Timberwolves scored 76.5 points to defeat the host Bengals by five. Coeur d’Alene scored 38. … Lake City (80 points) also won the boys meet, despite four event wins by Lewiston’s Matthew Grogan. Grogan won the 100 meters in 11.32 seconds, then followed with wins in the 100 hurdles (15.24), 300 hurdles (40.01) and long jump (21-9).

Idaho 4A Region I: Steven Farr won the 1,600 (4:32.72) and 3,200 (10:13.11) to lead Moscow in a rout of the boys meet in Lewiston. The Bears scored 112 points to defeat Post Falls (79), Sandpoint (41) and Lakeland (40). … In the girls meet, Kelsey Taylor won the shot put (40 feet) and discus (125-6) to lead Moscow (94 points) to a narrow victory over Post Falls (86). Sandpoint (52) and Lakeland (37) were further back.

Idaho 3A District I: Bonners Ferry leads the boys and girls after five finals each after the first day of the two-day meet at Timberlake.
