Woman injured when overloaded truck crashes

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

A Ford, Wash., woman was critically injured Wednesday afternoon when her flatbed truck ran off the road on State Route 231, nine miles north of Reardan.

Linda M. Bjork, 55, was in critical condition late Wednesday at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

The Washington State Patrol said the accident was caused by an overloaded trailer that began to fishtail while Bjork was pulling it. Troopers said alcohol was not a factor, but Bjork was not wearing a seat belt.

A decision on possible charges was pending.
