Warriors’ Davis delivers in win

Baron Davis had 36 points, a career-high 18 assists and eight rebounds Thursday night while leading the Golden State Warriors to their fourth straight win, a 117-105 victory over the Sacramento Kings at Oakland, Calif.

Davis had 11 assists in the first quarter, falling just shy of the single-quarter franchise record while staking Golden State to a lead it never relinquished in the fourth game of a seven-game homestand.

Rockets 101, Bulls 100: At Houston, Tracy McGrady had 21 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, and Yao Ming had 20 points and 12 rebounds to lift the Rockets, who nearly blew a 21-point lead but hung on to beat Chicago.

Cavaliers guard Larry Hughes is expected to miss Cleveland’s next two games – and possibly more – after spraining his right ankle Wednesday in the club’s win against Portland. … Milwaukee Bucks forward Charlie Villanueva will be sidelined four to six weeks because of a torn ligament in his left elbow.
