Harvest Dinner benefits Moran Prairie Grange Hall

Enjoy a turkey dinner with all the trimmings today at Moran Prairie’s annual Harvest Dinner.

Dinner is from noon to 3 p.m. and is held at Moran Prairie Grange Hall, No. 161, 6006 S. Palouse Highway.

Cost for the dinner is $8 for adults, $6 for children 5 to 12, and free for children under 5.

Proceeds benefit Moran Prairie Grange Hall for improvement and maintenance to the hall.

Haunted house benefit

Celebrate Halloween with Sigma Phi Epsilon and help a good cause.

Sigma Phi Epsilon, 419 Fifth St., is turning its house on Eastern Washington University’s campus into a Haunted House on Monday and Tuesday to raise money for the Aaron Zarate fund.

Aaron was the younger brother of Jacob Zarate, a fraternity brother. Aaron died this past summer in a motorcycle accident. The fund was set up by the fraternity to benefit students in need in the Mukilteo School District, Mulkiteo, Wash., where the Zarate brothers attended school.

The Haunted House will be open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Monday and 1 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Admission is $4 per person.

Epicurean Delight dinner

The 25th anniversary of Epicurian Delight, a food and wine fundraiser, will be Friday at the Spokane Convention Center, 334 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. and will benefit the Inland Northwest Blood Center.

Along with gourmet cuisine, fine wines and microbrews, a $100 donation drawing will be held. Prizes include a custom-designed necklace of diamonds, rubies and gold, provided by Jewelry Design Center, a Gonzaga gift package and a 42 inch plasma television.

Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased at www.epicureandelight.org.

Partners in Hope lunch

From noon to 1 p.m. on Friday in the Grand Pennington Ballroom at the Davenport Hotel, St. Joseph Family Center will hold its annual Partners in Hope luncheon.

The luncheon is open to the public, and donations are welcome and appreciated. Proceeds will benefit local families and children that use St. Joseph’s services. Those who would like to attend are requested to RSVP by Tuesday.

St. Joseph Family Center is a holistic healing facility, serving low-income community members.

Leaf Raking Blitz

On Saturday enjoy fall and rake leaves for low-income elders and people with disabilities at Catholic Charities Leaf Raking Blitz.

Meet at O’Malley Hall in the basement of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 330 E. Boone Ave., at 9 a.m. Lunch will be provided.

Bring a rake and work gloves.
