Spiritual Hunger Conference planned next week

Seven years after Healing Rooms Ministries’ first Spiritual Hunger Conference attracted 500 worshippers, founder and director Cal Pierce said he’s expecting attendance to reach 2,800 at the eighth annual Spiritual Hunger Conference, Wednesday through next Saturday, at the new Group Health Exhibit Hall, 334 W. Spokane Falls Blvd.

Speakers at this year’s conference include Pierce, who founded the Christian-based ministry in July 1999; Bill Johnson of Bethel Church, Redding, Calif.; and Randy Clark of Global Awakening in St. Louis. Worship will be led by Heather Clark of Vancouver, B.C.

Admission is free but registration is required to reserve seating.

Healing Rooms Ministries is a local nondenominational healing ministry. It is headquartered at 115 E. Pacific Ave. in Spokane.

Most of the 170 people on staff are volunteers. The ministry recently expanded to one-half of the Pacific Avenue block and can accommodate 600 worshippers.

There are more than 440 Healing Rooms operating throughout the world.

Pierce credits some of its popularity to the inspiring success stories told by its worshippers.

“The key,” he said, “is the transformed life and testimony of people who received prayer from Healing Rooms all over the world.”

Those interested in attending the conference should register online at www.healingrooms.com or contact 456-0517 to receive a registration form by mail.

The schedule of events is: Wednesday, 7 p.m.; Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.; and next Saturday, 10 a.m. and 2 and 7 p.m.
