1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

The Spokesman-Review

Name: Bill and Helen Zales, Coeur d’Alene.

Purchased: From the showroom floor at Barton Oldsmobile in Spokane in March 1967 by Helen’s mother. The total new car purchase price was $3,000.

Why we love it: This car was transferred to us from the family estate, so it remains in the family. It is powered by 330 cubic-inch V-8 engine. This car is very economical to operate and maintain. It is comfortable and has plenty of power. It is a popular car at vintage car shows attracting young people who like the sound system and the roomy interior. We are glad that we have it and will keep it for a long time to come.

Our next car will be: Not sure.

If you have a favorite car (or truck), we want you to share your passion with our readers. Send a picture of you and your favorite car (it’s OK if you’re in the picture, but the car or truck must be prominent), and include the following information: your name and age, make, model and year of vehicle, when you bought it, why you love it (including a favorite experience with the car if you have one), and what you expect your next car will be. Send it to Pete Tormey, The Spokesman-Review, 999 W. Riverside Ave., Spokane, WA 99201 or via e-mail to petet@spokesman.com.
