Fairfield City Council – Engineers from Century West discussed bids for water line replacement. Council members reviewed the dog ordinance, which is being changed to mirror the dog ordinance in Spokane. They also approved using CTED grant funding to update geographic information system maps. Rockford City Council – Council members approved the plat alteration application for Rockford Estates. They also discussed the town clean up planned for later this month. (Source: Town clerk)

Central Valley SCOPE – Several guests attended the meeting, including Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich and the new SCOPE director, Rick Scott. Scott was previously president of Edgecliff SCOPE. A Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputy also spoke about a new Explorer program starting for youth and SCOPE members voted to transfer some money to his program to be used to purchase equipment.
