The Spokesman-Review

Two players off the State 5A football championship Lake City High team signed letters of intent with the University of Oregon.

Hulking offensive lineman Carson York, who stands 6-foot-5 and 290 pounds, and linebacker Brandon Hanna (6-3, 220) are headed to Eugene, Ore. They announced oral commitments last spring.

Another LC standout, linebacker/wide receiver Matt Widmyer, is headed to Navy. Widmyer (6-3, 200) joins older brother Ben in college football. Ben, who will be a redshirt sophomore next year, is a quarterback at Wofford College.

Another area player, Coeur d’Alene offensive lineman Adam Chadwick (6-3, 265), signed with Idaho State.

Lakeland standout Bubba Bartlett (6-1 1/2, 225) is headed to NAIA powerhouse Carroll College. Bartlett reportedly was Carroll’s No. 1 recruit, Lakeland coach Tim Kiefer said.

LC cornerback Wilson Bowlby (5-11, 160) will join Bartlett at Carroll.
