Community Update: Community blood drive this week

The Inland Northwest Blood Center will be holding its 10th annual communitywide Blood drive this Monday through Friday.

From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., donors can give blood in Spokane at 210 W. Cataldo Ave. or Valley Hospital and Medical Center, 12606 E. Mission Ave., Spokane Valley, or in Coeur d’Alene at 1341 Northwood Center Court.

Donors can enter to win prizes from Painted Hills Golf Course, the Davenport Hotel and Riverfront Park Imax Theatre – just a few of the many sponsors.

Spokane Spiders and Wishing Star

On Saturday, at 7:05 p.m., The Spokane Spiders soccer team will host a Wishing Star night when they play the Brigham Young University Cougars at Spokane Falls Community College.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children 11 and under, and $5 for seniors, soldiers, students and soccer players. Proceeds will go to Wishing Star Foundation.
