Chamber board candidates announced

The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced the candidates for openings on board the of directors and officers for the 2007-08 fiscal year.

The candidates for five three-year terms are: Kevin Rasler, Inland Empire Paper Co.; Mandy Degroslier, Washington Trust Bank, Liberty Lake; Ross Kelley, HDR; Chuck Stocker, Inland Power and Light and Andrew Worlock, Greenstone Corp.

The candidate to fill a partial two-year term is Steve Yucho, United Coatings Mfg. Co.

The slate of officers are chairman of the board - Rustin Hall, ALSC Architects; chairman elect – Dr. Philip L. Rudy; vice chair – Bill King, ITT Technical Institute; vice chair - Teri Montano, Spokane Eye Clinic; president – Eldonna Shaw, Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce; treasurer – Brenda Arthur, Andre-Romberg Insurance; secretary – Brad Pring, Pring Corp.; past chairman of the board – Matt Ewers, Inland Empire Distribution Systems and member at large – Damon Smith, DCI Engineers.

All candidates have been approved by a vote of the current board at the June 27 meeting and will stand as elected if there are no more petitions for candidacy.

The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce has been serving the community since 1921 and represents more than 1,000 members who are businesses, nonprofit organizations, churches, schools and government agencies primarily in the cities of Liberty Lake, Spokane Valley, the town of Millwood and the unincorporated areas of eastern Spokane County.
