Heminways wrote cookbook

A cookbook review in Wednesday’s Food section misspelled the authors’ names because of a reporter’s error. The book “Picnics” was written by Hilary and Alex Heminway.

Service planned for Friday

Saturday’s article about Stonewall News Northwest in the Northwest section listed the wrong date for Jan Loehr’s memorial service because of a reporter’s error. The service is planned for Friday.

Sales tax amount misstated

Spokane County’s sales tax for mental health programs is one-tenth of 1 percent. A July 11 story misstated the amount because of a reporter’s error.

Hospital accepting patients

Sacred Heart Medical Center continues to accept adult patients. A headline Tuesday may have been misleading because of a copy editor’s error.

Trash change not in place

Plans to reduce alley trash pickup in south Spokane have not been scrapped. A Wednesday story on Page One about the mayoral election indicated otherwise. Spokane city spokeswoman Marlene Feist said Wednesday that before the alley service reduction plan for the South Side is implemented, residents and the City Council will have a chance to comment on it.
