Brown wins Deer Park Am

Kent Brown shot rounds of 67 and 72 over the weekend to win the Deer Park Amateur golf tournament and qualify for the season-ending Sterling Savings Bank Shoot-Out.

Also qualifying for the Shoot-Out were Kirk Shaler, Skip Ostrander and Ian Hamilton.

Ex-Washington State Cougar Sarah Waterfield was part of the Canada women’s eight that finished fourth Sunday in the final at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Strathclyde, Scotland.

Belarus was first, followed closely by the United States and Germany.
