Community update: Glen Dow site to aid injured motorcyclist

Glen Dow Academy, 309 W. Riverside Ave., will be hosting a benefit drive for Ryan Hiebert on Wednesday, contributing half of its proceeds to his medical funds related to a motorcycle accident on April 28.

From 9:15 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., raffle tickets also will be on sale to clients, and hourly drawings will be held.

Each client will be entered for the two grand prize drawings for a spa day at Glen Dow.

Dharma Friends Benefit

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the Life Center Therapies for Well Being, 1319 N. Government Way, Coeur d’Alene, the Dharma Friends will hold a benefit yard and bake sale to support Sravasti Abbey in Newport, Wash.

Grape Expectations

On Saturday the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra League is holding the fourth annual Grape Expectations Wine and Music event.

The evening will begin at 4 p.m. and is being held at The Old Church Arts and Cultural Center, 405 William St., Post Falls.

The benefit will feature music by the Cotillion Quartet and Paul Grove on classical guitar.

A live and silent auction also will be held.

Items in the silent auction include massages, carpet cleaning and different costume packages for children.

Items available in live auction include a Davenport Hotel and Spokane Indians package, a golf package and a fire station package for children.

Tickets are $25 per person and are available in advance through the Coeur d’Alene Symphony Office.
