Inland Asphalt wins street job
Spokane City Council approved on Monday a bid by Inland Asphalt Co. of Spokane County to rebuild Maple and Ash streets from Wellesley Avenue to Northwest Boulevard starting this spring. Inland Asphalt beat out four other bidders for the job with a bid of $5.08 million. Work is expected to begin in April.
The bid was less than 1 percent higher than an engineer’s estimate. Red Diamond Construction Inc., the next-lowest bidder, submitted a price of $5.1 million.
Work on Maple and Ash will begin first on Maple Street and move to Ash after Maple has been paved.
