Kahlotus High graduate receives WSU Regents Scholarship

Lexi Roach, a senior at Kahlotus High School in Kahlotus, Wash., and one of eight in her graduating class, was awarded a $54,000 Washington State University Regents Scholarship. Roach is one in 25 Washington students to receive this scholarship. She is the daughter of Joe and Candi Roach of Kahlotus.

•Area residents recently graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Danielle Bevans is the daughter of Joy Jones of Spokane and a 2007 graduate of John R. Rogers High School.

Air Force Airman Joshua Cordell graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 2007 and is the son of Ronald Cordell and Nancy Wade, both of Spokane.

Air Force Airman Jonathan Hoff is a 2006 graduate of Medical Lake High School and is the son of Donna Stujenske of Medical Lake.

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Treana Liebing graduated from Davenport High School in 2007 and is the daughter of Scott and Denise Liebing of Davenport, Wash.

Air Force Airman Zachary Moore is the son of Ken Moore of Valleyford and is a 2007 graduate of Freeman High School in Rockford.

Air Force Airman Richard Mott is the son of Tamera Mott of Spokane and graduated from North Central High School in 2005.

Air Force Airman Daric O’Neill is the son of Darin O’Neill of Deer Park, and Ronna Wing of Spokane and is a 2007 graduate of Shadle Park High School.

Air Force Airman Joshua Spencer is the son of Nellie Spencer of Liberty Lake and graduated from Central Valley High School in 2003.

Army National Guard Pvt. Ryan Olsem is the son of Thomas Olsem of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Yvonne Levno of Spokane Valley.

Army Pvt. James Butler graduated from North Central High School in 2000 and is the son of Mark Butler of Ephrata, Wash.

Army Pvt. Michael Short is the son of Lessie Miller of Colville and is a 2005 graduate of Colville High School.

Army Pvt. Paul Polignoni Jr. graduated from University High School in 2007 and is the son of Paul Polignoni of Spokane Valley.

Army Pfc. Justin Moore is the son of Cindy Moore and Ralph Moore, both of Spokane. He graduated from Rogers High School in 2004.

Army National Guard Pvt. Alan Abrahamson is the son of Cindi Campbell of Ford, Wash.

Army Pfc. Amber Leach is the daughter Bradford Leach of Spokane.

Army Pvt. Naikita Duncan is the granddaughter of Anna Duncan of Spokane and is a 2003 graduate of Crosswalk High School.

Army Pvt. Andrew Cogswell graduated from Medical Lake High School in 2007 and is the son of Jeaninne Gard of Medical Lake.

Army National Guard Pvt. Joshua Peters is the son of Clint and Cindie Peters of Moses Lake.

•Andrew Smith of Spokane graduated from the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps leader development and assessment course at Fort Lewis in Tacoma. He is the son of Fred and Linda Smith of Spokane and graduated in 2004 from Gonzaga Preparatory High School.

•Army Cadet Zackery Spear of Spokane recently graduated from cadet basic training at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y. He is the son of Steve and Sharon Spear of Spokane and is a 2007 graduate of Ferris High School.
